Christmas Music!

Beginning December 3rd, I will be broadcasting Christmas Music 2 hours a night (7-9PM EST), Monday-Friday, on my stream. :)  I will have the link posted directly on this blog and will announce when it’s up. :)

I will also have a PayPal button that you can donate to keep the stream alive.  It’s an OPTIONAL thing and you by NO MEANS have to donate–a couple people have asked, so I am putting it up.  No biggie if you don’t want to. :)

Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays!

If you have a public blog that you would like me to link from my blogroll, please let me know.  I’ll get it up there for ya this week.

Have a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving!!

If you celebrate it, I hope your day is wonderful! Full of plenty of good family, good friends, good laughter, and good FOOD! :)

And now.. about that strike..

Doing a little reading, the last Writer’s Strike took place in 1988 and lasted nearly 5 months. Daytime soaps were one of the hardest hit, as storylines were drug out & haphazard scripts were put together by fill-ins that clearly never watched an episode of whatever show they were writing for. Which this just figures, because Y&R is at a really exciting point right now! Granted most soaps have a stock of at least 2 months worth of scripts, and with talks of a strike looming a lot of shows wrote further in advance to compensate… but still.

CBS has talked about increasing it’s reality tv… filming another season of Survivor & Amazing Race, PLUS an EARLY edition of Big Brother! There could be a celebrity Big Brother airing as early as March.

Yup, it’s about Second Life.

It’s funny how much the internet has taken over.  I’ve mentioned before that I “play” SL (Second Life).  I say “play” because while many people view it as “just a game”, there are others that view it as, for lack of a better word, a platform to build upon.  There are incredibly successful stores, people who design either hair, clothes, jewelry, etc. in SL.  I work for one of them!  Stellar Designs is one of the very first stores I ever found in SL.  I’ve been shopping there for nearly a year.  Lexi, the creator/designer, is a sweetheart and sent out a call recently to hire some CSR’s (Customer Service Reps) and I applied right away.  So, 20 hrs a week of my time in SL, is spent there.  Unless I have a busy week, which last week.. I think I got to work a total of 4.  But that’s the great thing about it.. we’re paid to do it, yes, but we set our own hours and we can work as little or as much as we want.  So really, it seems like a lot, but Monday through Friday while K. naps or I have a lull in whatever I’m doing, I spend about 4 hours a day there.  I’ll do an hour, or 2 hours at a time… or sometimes I’ll get lucky and do all 4 in the morning.  It’s like a great little part-time retail job in the comfort of my own home!

Another weekend zoooooms by.

I can’t believe it’s Sunday. I say this every weekend, and I mean it every time. Yesterday, we spent most of the day getting the back yard in shape. Since D. broke his leg last month, we haven’t been able to really do much with the leaves and branches that have fallen. We have a ton of trees around here and that equals TOO MANY LEAVES. I’m going to have to re-evaluate Fall being my favorite season. I think Spring wins. So yesterday, it was a bunch of leaf blowing, raking, and dragging all of it to the curb. They should do a leaf pick-up this week, I hope. There are piles and piles out there, and more falling by the second.

K. cut her first tooth! J. called me last night to tell me. I’m so excited to see her. And REALLY happy that it happened while J. had her, it’s a first that her mama got to experience. K.’s been super cranky lately (as in every little thing sets her off) and she’s been favoring the side where we figured the first one would break through, so it was only a matter of time. I can’t believe I’m so excited about her teething!

What a few months!

I’m very guilty of being so busy that I haven’t gotten my site set up yet. :(  I fully intend on having this be THE place I post, and my store will be attached to this site as well.  I’ve been so busy on projects, both RL and SL, dealing with a family member that broke his leg, being a Nanny to a BEAUTIFUL almost-8-month-old little girl.  I’m just SPENT.  I need to start prioritizing though and leaving myself more time throughout the day to get everything here set up.

A Diva World.

YAY for new beginnings!  Lots of info coming soon about D-Diva Designs.  I can’t wait to get started with everything on this site & really move forward with my store.  Of course, as my last blog(s) were, this site will not be JUST about DDD.  I’m looking forward to making this space my “home”.  So, bookmark me and keep coming back!!
